From what I can tell, they've been chasing dead ends for a good long while now, perhaps months. They've been searching for the blade to the swords (perhaps to unite the People of "Tellurion" as I believe the sword acts as a unifying force), and now after a long time, this women not only knows about the sword (and its missing blade (a thing no-one has known)), but not only knows about the sword, but perhaps knows a lead to the blade's location, or a lead that will take them to a place that will help them find the blade.
